Topic: Acquired Brain Injury: Case Management, Forensic and Return to Work Considerations

To be included is a review of forensic issues with life care planning and loss of earning capacity using methodologies such as RAPEL, RECAM and PEEDS-RAPEL.  The concept of Loss of Competitive Edge will be described and its impact on earning capacity in clients with ABI.

 Speaker: Brian Preston Regional Director of Learning Services and chair of IARP Forensic Section

CEU's: Credit will be given for CCM and CRC 

Fees: 

$5.00 for IARP members
$10.00 for non IARP members
$10.00 for direct patient care vendors (physical therapists, translators etc)
$25.00 for vendors unless sponsoring the breakfast or CEU's  (marketing/sales)

2006 New Information and Monthly Meetings

2006 Triangle Chapter of  IARP-Carolinas

 

 

The following changes have been made for the chapter:

 

  • There will be no yearly dues
  • The meetings will be every other month
  • The meetings will continue to be the 2nd Friday of the month from 8AM to 9:30AM at Duke Health Raleigh Hospital 3325 Executive Drive, Classroom #100 lower level
  • If there are speakers or vendors that you would like for us to consider, please contact a board member.  We will be using vendors to sponsor the cost of CEU’s and breakfast
  • If there is inclement weather the day of the meeting we will go according to the Wake County School closure per the local media.  If Wake County Schools are closed there will not be a meeting that day or if school is delayed there will not be a meeting that day.
  • We will be offering CEU’s for CCM and CRC only as the other certifications were not highly represented at the local meetings.  Those needing CDMS educational units can acquire these at the IARP conferences held twice a year in the spring and fall.

Meeting fees:

$5.00 for IARP members-must show card

$10.00 for non IARP members

$10.00 for direct patient care vendors

$25.00 for vendors unless sponsoring the breakfast or CEU’s
